I feel Like They think I'm Crazy PDF Print E-mail

I have bladder symptoms, frequency or pain but nothing is showing up on test, what is wrong with me?  I feel like they think I am crazy!

Does this sound like you?  Have you had symptoms no one could explain and you are frustrated and feel alone?  You are not alone, that is why we are here to help you!  There are many of us that have been through the same thing. It is very possible that you have Interstitial Cystitis or Chronic Cystitis. What should you do now?  We have an article that explains the difference between the two:  http://moarkic.com/content/category/8/26/43/

The first step is to believe yourself and seek solutions and help! One great way to start is with the questionnaire on the Elmiron web-site, many doctor use this in diagnosis. It is a great tool to take to your doctor and ask them to consider IC or chronic cystitis. It is important to take the test before you do a lot of reading about IC so it does not influence your answers. The questionnaire will tell you the likely hood that you have IC, taking this to your doctor might get you a referral to a good Urologist.

The next step is to read and learn more about IC. Read through the many posts on this site, start with diet. The bottom line here is that no matter what the cause is, your bladder is irritated and needs time to heal. The ICN and ICA have worked hard to compile that latest research in diet and IC, which helps us to learn what to look for as flare triggers. The big thing to keep in mind with IC is that everyone is different. We also have a good article on diet with some survival-safe foods with name brands to help you when your in the store. (Please send us any new items you find as well!)
